The tarot cards interpretation doesn't come from a vacuum. It's the result of the reader's intuition working through their conscious and subconscious mind, piecing together the visual cues from the card. People think it's about predicting the future, but it isn't. It's about the present, and it can be very empowering...tarot allows you to consider a problem, give a voice to it, work it through and see where the blocks might be. It can give voice to problems or fears.
With a world very much in play and running more and more at a machine's pace, we need objects and practices that ask us to stop, to reflect, and above all to allow us time to be human – to listen to what is in our hearts as much as what is in our minds.
What Is An Oracle Deck? An oracle deck is similar to a tarot in that it is an object of meditation that encourages it's participant to explore and uncover authentic truths about their individual character that unite them to the extremely powerful and ancient current of universal, creative energy. It is the Hero Journey that is open to all of us that promises a dynamic, positive transformation in our characters that can only be experienced through a true understanding of our essential selves.
Where an Oracle differs from the tarot is that it is a looser, more artistic exploration of that journey. An oracle deck can be used on it's own or as a compliment to the tarot as a way of deepening the meditation experience.
